Multiply your community impact with the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky through the L.I.F.T. Fund
In order to capture this funding, our communities must be ready to submit competitive applications. A major barrier many communities face is a lack of access to required matching funds for their projects.
The L.I.F.T. (Leveraged Investment for Federal Traction) Fund for Appalachian Kentucky was created to help remove that barrier.
The Fund provides responsive and timely match funding, aligned with ongoing technical assistance, in support of Eastern Kentucky organizations and municipalities applying for state and federal funding that supports economic opportunity in our region.
These grants fund projects supporting rural communities in the following areas:
- Workforce development
- Economic development
- Public and low-income housing
- Renewable energy
- Broadband access and planning
- Upskilling workforces
- Arts and culture
We invite you to learn more and apply below for matching grants ranging in size from $5,000- $50,000. So far we have helped Eastern Kentucky communities be competitive for funding from the NEA and ARC (POWER & INSPIRE).
