The Letcher County Community Foundation (LCCF), an affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky, is now accepting donations for emergency flood relief efforts in Letcher County. In the aftermath of the devastating Feb. 2025 flood, the Letcher community is in desperate need of relief. All donations made to LCCF between Feb. 20 – Apr. 30 will be designated for immediate needs for flood recovery efforts.
The impact of the flood on Appalachian Kentucky is heartbreaking. Fourteen deaths have now been reported. Small businesses, farms, homes, downtowns, and more have sustained significant damage. LCCF is committed to rebuilding and restoring the Letcher County community, but the community foundation relies on support from donors. Donations made to LCCF will be maximized to provide the best possible support for local flood victims.
