The Leslie County Community Foundation (LCCF), an affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky, is now accepting donations for emergency flood relief efforts in Leslie County. In the aftermath of the devastating Feb. 2025 flood, the Leslie community is in desperate need of relief. All donations made to LCCF between Feb. 20 – Apr. 30 will be designated for immediate needs for flood recovery efforts.
“The recent flooding has left many of our families and businesses in dire need of support,” says Joel Brashear, Leslie Couty Community Foundation Chair. “We hope you will consider a donation to the Leslie County Community Foundation and help us with our recovery efforts. Every contribution, whether big or small, can bring hope and healing to those affected. Let’s pull together as a community and make a difference.”
The impact of the flood on Appalachian Kentucky is heartbreaking. Fourteen deaths have now been reported. Small businesses, farms, homes, downtowns, and more have sustained significant damage. LCCF is committed to rebuilding and restoring the Leslie County community, but the community foundation relies on support from donors. Donations made to LCCF will be maximized to provide the best possible support for local flood victims.
The Leslie County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky.
