Johnson County Community Foundation (JoCCF), an affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky, is accepting donations to the Johnson County Crisis Fund in response to the Feb. 2025 flood. JoCCF plans to use the funds received to directly support the Johnson County community as they are recovering.
“In the aftermath of this devastating flood, the need for immediate assistance is critical. We urge everyone to support the recovery efforts by donating to the Johnson County Community Foundation’s Crisis fund,” says Daffiny Trimble, Johnson County Community Foundation Chair, “Your generous donation to our Crisis Fund will directly aid those affected by the disaster in Johnson County. By contributing to the foundation’s crisis fund, you’re helping to ensure that our community can rebuild and heal together. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant impact. Let’s come together and support those who need it most during this challenging time.”
The impact of the flood on Appalachian Kentucky is heartbreaking. Fourteen deaths have now been reported. Small businesses, farms, homes, downtowns, and more have sustained significant damage. JoCCF is committed to rebuilding and restoring the Johnson County community, but the community foundation relies on support from donors. Donations made to JoCCF will be maximized to provide the best possible support for local flood victims.
